Mundus MAPP 2027–2029: Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Application Is Open
Mundus MAPP is accepting applications for its 2027–2029 cohort. Applicants seeking financial aid must apply by 1 December 2026 at 23:59 CET. Check degree, English and mobility requirements first.
Applications are open for the 2027–2029 Mundus MAPP cohort. This two-year master’s programme focuses on public policy and offers several study tracks across its partner universities. Applicants who want to be considered for financial aid must submit their application by 1 December 2026 at 23:59 Central European Time (CET).
There is no separate scholarship form. The programme says applicants can indicate their interest in scholarship consideration within the main application. Admission and an Erasmus Mundus scholarship are both competitive.
The key decision: are you eligible?
Mundus MAPP accepts applications from European and non-European nationals. Its admissions requirements call for a recognised bachelor’s degree involving at least three years of study and a GPA of at least 3.17/4.0 or equivalent. Applicants must provide a GPA on a four-point scale in the application.
The programme normally prefers social-science backgrounds. Its current requirements state that applicants whose bachelor’s degree is in Natural Sciences or Engineering are not eligible. If you already hold a master’s degree, check the additional academic conditions and the programme’s note about scholarship priority.
English-language evidence also matters. The programme lists accepted tests and minimum scores, including IELTS Academic 7, TOEFL iBT 95, PTE Academic 76 and Duolingo English Test 130. Waivers have specific conditions; studying in English in Nepal does not, by itself, appear on the programme’s listed automatic-waiver routes. Read the full rules before assuming you qualify for a waiver.
Check the mobility rule before selecting a track
Students must complete study periods in two different countries, each worth at least 30 ECTS. The programme says both compulsory study countries must differ from the applicant’s country of residence at application or enrolment. Check this rule against your current residence and the track you choose.
You can apply to one mobility track only. The official application page lists four tracks with different public-policy specialisations. Compare their focus before choosing one.
What does the scholarship cover?
The consortium says a limited number of Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarships go to its highest-ranked applicants. The scholarship includes a full tuition-fee waiver and is calculated at €1,400 per month for up to 24 months. The monthly contribution helps with living and other costs; an award is not guaranteed.
Read the financial-aid page carefully. It lists expenses students may still need to pay, including certain study visits, a winter school and some travel and visa costs. Do not treat “scholarship” as meaning every expense is paid separately.
How to apply, step by step
- Check eligibility on the official admissions requirements page, particularly your degree field, GPA, English evidence and residence-based mobility rule.
- Choose one track after comparing its partner universities and subject focus.
- Prepare the documents using the programme’s admissions checklist. Write your statement of purpose in your own voice and explain your interest in public policy.
- Apply through the programme’s link to the CEU application portal. The consortium says applications submitted through other partner universities will not be considered.
- Indicate scholarship interest in the application form. The programme says there is no separate scholarship application.
- Submit before 1 December 2026, 23:59 CET if you want financial-aid consideration. Check the live admissions calendar again before submitting.
The programme says its CEU application fee does not apply to Mundus MAPP applicants unless they also apply to other CEU programmes.
Muglan+ tip: Before starting the form, make a one-page eligibility sheet with your bachelor’s field, converted GPA, English-test result, present country of residence and preferred track. If any item is uncertain, resolve it using the programme’s official pages before the deadline.
